Cha-cha Slide Pool Rules
1. If you scratch on the break,
you lose. If you don't hit any balls in on the break, you lose.
2.
If you hit 1 stripe and 1 solid in on the break, you have to take your next shot at the ball with the corresponding color of the one that
went in first. (i.e. if the orange stripe went in first then you shoot at the orange solid)
3.
If you scratch without hitting a ball in you still have to take one of your balls out of the pocket.
If you don't have any balls in the pockets you're automatically in the negative. (1 negative point per
ball to be removed)
4.
If you hit a ball in on the first shot of your turn, but miss the second shot, you have to remove 2 of your balls from the
pockets. If you don't have enough balls in the pockets to remove the two, remove what you can and then count a
negative for each missing ball.
-
This rule applies to all even numbered shots, the 2nd, 4th, 6th and so on.
-
If the second shot of the turn sank a ball, then the third shot is free: meaning there is no penalty if you don't sink a ball.
-
If two balls of the same kind (i.e. if the player is shooting at stripes and sinks two stripes) are sunk on the same shot, the second ball
to go in is counted as the "sink" for what would have been the second shot. Therefore, the next shot of the
turn will count as the "free" shot, but if it is made the shot after that must be sunk or 2 balls must be removed from the pockets.
5.
If you hit one of your opponent's balls in on the second shot of your turn you do not have to count it as a missed shot. Do not remove any of your balls from the pockets. When this happens, however, your
opponent is rewarded an extra shot to be taken at the beginning of their next turn.
6.
All rules regarding the removal of balls from pockets are cumulative. Example: If you miss the
second shot of your turn AND you scratch, you must remove 2 balls for the missed shot AND 1 ball for the scratch.
7. If any player hits any ball off of the table that player must add five (5)
negative points to their current tally.
8.
Every even numbered shot (2,4,6) sunk adds 1 positive point to the player's score (i.e. takes a way a negative). But they can only be counted after the turn is over in case any balls need to be taken out due to a miss or a scratch.
Cha-cha Slide Drinking Game
1. All original rules apply.
2.
If, on the first shot of your turn, you sink one (or more) of your opponent's balls, you have to drink. (1 drink for each of your opponent's balls sunk)
3.
If you sink three shots in a row, every consecutive shot after those three that sinks a ball requires a drink. *This is in an effort to keep someone from running the table.
4.
Upon arrival of the 8 ball shot all negatives must be drank by all players. (Player A has 6 negatives they drink 6 times; Player B has 2
negatives they drink 2 times).
-
If playing in teams each person on a team must drink the total number of negatives their team has accumulated. (Team A has 5 negatives
then each member of the team takes 5 drinks).
5.
If the 8 ball is sunk early the loser or losing team must drink both their own negatives and the other side's negatives.
-
If playing in teams, the negatives will be evenly divided among team members. (Team A won and
has 10 negatives so each person on Team B takes 5 drinks).
6.
This rule applies to TEAMS ONLY
-
If a player makes the second shot of their turn, their partner may say "Heating Up." If
the player continues on and also makes the fourth shot of their turn, their partner may say "On Fire." Once
both of these have been said, the other team must take 2 drinks each (one for each even numbered shot which sunk a ball).
This rule is only valid if both phrases have been said, and if all four shots were consecutive.
